February is American Heart Month

In honor of American Heart Month, the Danville Life Saving Crew asks you to join them in following these simple steps to create a healthier heart and lifestyle. The American Heart Association suggests the following:


  • Quit smoking and stay away from secondhand smoke

  • If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation'

  • Control your cholesterol and blood pressure

  • Get active and eat healthy

  • Watch your weight through diet and exercise


These simple steps can help you reduce the risk of developing heart disease. If you are already living with heart disease, leading a healthy lifestyle can also help you control and prevent risk factors.
