Life Member Dalton Robertson passes away

Dalton Webster Robertson, 69, of 7021 Mount Cross Road Danville,
Virginia died on Monday March 9, 2009 at Danville Regional Medical
Center.

Mr. Robertson was born in Danville on May 1, 1939 to the
late Dalton Thomas Robertson and the late Alma Griffin Robertson. He
spent all of his life in the Mount Cross community, he was associated
with Brown Charter Bus Company for many years.

Mr. Robertson was a member of Fairview Methodist Church; he was a life
member of the Danville Life Saving Crew, he was a member since 1960,
also a life member of the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue
Squads, a member of Roman Eagle Masonic Lodge #122 A.F. & A.M., and
Danville Consistory of Scottish Rite and a member of the Pittsylvania
County Farm Bureau.

On November 22, 1962 he married Judy Giles Robertson.

Survivors in addition to his wife of the residence include, three
daughters, Robyn Robertson Bridges and husband Kris Bridges of
Danville, Renee Robertson Watkins and husband Steve Watkins of
Danville, and Lesley Robertson Talarico and husband Lou Talarico of New
York, New York; a mother-in-law Vivian W. Giles of Danville; three
grandchildren, Lindsey Raye Blackwell of Danville, John Andrew
Blackwell of Danville, and Jack Robertson Talarico of New York, New
York.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday March 12, 2009 at 2:00
p.m. from the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel by the Reverend Robert
Gochenour and the Reverend Bruce Tuttle. Interment will be in Highland
Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11,
2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel, and
at other times the family will be at the residence.
